You want to share a Google Doc with your team, but only for a limited period? Use the expiry share option. We use this a lot for training recordings.

Step 1 - Click the Share button. If you haven't shared the doc with them already, add their email address at the top of the share box, then click the 'Editor' drop-down and select 'Add expiry'.

If you have already shared the document, then select the drop-down next to their name and choose the 'Add expiry' option.

Step 2 - Click the pencil icon to select a date and time for their access to the document ot expire. Click 'Done'.

The expiry is now set, and that's a handy workflow taken care of by Google Workspace. To learn more about embedding workflows into Google Workspace, book one of CloudSheds' live training sessions or purchase our on-demand content.

Extra tip: You can also set an expiry from Google Drive, just right-click on a file and access the Share menu from there.
