How to Utilise the Pin Board in Google Chat

Google Chat’s Board feature allows you to create a dedicated Pin Board for your key information relating to that chat or space. This is the perfect tool for anyone utilising Google Chat to run their projects.


Resources you might like to pin to your board:

  • Important Documents

  • Links

  • Key chat messages

  • Project updates


How to Pin a Message to your Board


Step 1 - Hover over the message

Step 2 - Click the 3 dots and click 'Pin to board'.

How to Pin a Resource to your Board


Step 1 - To access the board, click the pin icon in the top right of your chat window.

Step 2 - Click 'Add resources' to pin documents and links. You can add these from Google Drive.

The Board gives the chat increased productivity, especially as a team space. You could use this area to pin chat guidelines also.
