In the Gemini app, we can create presentations with Canvas. This is a great tool to save time creating presentations from information that already exists elsewhere.

Step 1 - Open a new chat in the Gemini app and select the Canvas tool.

Dark interface with a text input bar labeled "Enter a prompt for Gemini." A dropdown menu lists options: Deep Research, Create videos, images, Canvas, and Guided Learning.

Step 2 - Enter a prompt to describe the presentation.

Make sure to specify that you want to create a presentation, as Canvas can be used for various types of content. Remember, you can attach files to provide more information. Below, we have attached a Google Doc that Canvas can use to pull information from.

Google Docs interface showing a document titled "Cookie Fla..." suggesting a presentation for marketing team. Text outlines cookie flavors and benefits.

Step 3 - Once the presentation has been created, it can be exported to Slides or downloaded as a PDF. You can also edit the presentation with Gemini in the bottom left box.

"The Next Byte: 2025 Flavor Roadmap" slide with black background, beige text. Includes presentation details and export options. Mood: professional.

We have exported the presentation from Canvas to Google Slides. We think it has done a pretty good job, but we can tweak information and images from the slide deck.
