Set up a Waiting Room for your Google Meet

When you host a meeting in Google Meet, you can set up a virtual waiting room where participants wait until you let them into the meeting.
This can be a great way for Hosts and Cohosts to get set up and prepare for a meeting before allowing others to join.
Step 1 - In your meeting invite, click the settings button next to the Meet link.

Step 2 - Go to the 'Waiting room' section to enable this feature, and decide if you would like to let participants in when you join automatically.
We prefer to leave that option disabled, so we can get set up first. Don't forget to click 'Save' at the bottom.

Note: The Waiting room setting is usually off by default, but it depends on your Google Workspace Admin settings.
