At CloudShed, we do not do 'death by PowerPoint' in our Google Workspace training sessions, but if we do use slides, we make sure our visuals are top-notch, and we can do that with the 'Generate an image' AI feature in Google Slides.

With Google Slides' built-in AI image generation, you can describe what you envision, and watch it appear on your slide (once you have approved the image).

Step 1 - Open Google Slides: Start a new presentation or open an existing one.

Step 2 - Go to 'Insert': In the top menu, click on Insert > Image > Generate an image

Google Slides interface with "Pistachio Cookie Launch" title. Dropdown menu shows options like Image, Text box, and Generate an image.

Step 3 - A prompt box will appear in the sidebar to the right, providing a text box to describe your desired image.

I asked for one cookie with pistachio flavour, showing the filling. The more specific you are, the better the result. It works best if you are specific, include the style, colours or mood, and you can edit as you go along to refine your image.

Step 4 - Click the generated image, review the image, and if you are happy with it, you can click 'Insert' to add the image to your presentation.

This AI tool in Google Slides is a great way to save time while impressing your audience with high-quality images.
